Cryptic crossword No 1,320

Sorry for the absence, life's been a bit crazy recently - here's one I made earlier...

Well, thanks for that one from the storehouse - a good workout with some really clever clues. I particularly appreciated 12a, 13a, 14a, 1d, 11d, 16d, 18d & 23d among others. There were a couple late in the downs that were just that bit too clever for me, but nothing that I’ll take exception to or quibble with. If you’ve got any more tucked away in the archive, bring them out!

I found this most enjoyable. More please! My favourites were 2d, 12a, 15d, 22a and 23d, but there's hardly a clue that didn't have me nodding and smiling one way or another.

I’m playing selective catchup and always enjoy your puzzles so finally got round to this! Characteristic tpg clever clueing throughout, like Coot I found this midway in your range 😁 Loved 14a (although the surface made me shudder!), 15d (big LOL), 22d and 23d. Thanks!
