Cryptic crossword No 1,330

Hello to anyone attempting this. This was my first attempt at setting, so apologies if it does not quite hit the mark!

Welcome to MyC Jimmy, and well done on producing your first puzzle and putting your head above the parapet! I attempted this a couple of days ago but gave in gracefully after solving half a dozen clues, and looked through your notes instead. You clearly have lots of good and interesting ideas. The challenge is to present them accurately so the solver has a fighting chance of getting onto your wavelength. 25a is an example of where you achieved that admirably!
