Cryptic crossword No 1,453

Nice one sirdakka. I had particular ticks for 10a (v good &lit), 23a and 16d (where cove misled me for a while as Aussie slang for a man).

Fab stuff. Loved: 6d (CotD), 2d (ha!), 15a, 18a, 23a (my LOI), 29a, 1d, 3d (runner-up CotD) and 20d. Hilariously it took me up until reading the clue for 17d to clock it 😆

Very enjoyable crossword, Josh, with many of your trademarks scattered through the clues. I had to revisit the SE corner once I had some crossers; apart from that, all went nice and smoothly. Nice tight cluing and I enjoyed the very realistic surfaces. Favourites include 5a, 10a (COTD), 14a, 25a, 29a, 1d, 6d, 9d, 17d and 23d. Spoilers in reply. Thanks. PM

I'd give this extremely high marks SD. Favourites included 1a, 21a (sneaky parse!), 2d (ffs!), 8d, and 20d.

Brilliant puzzle sirdakka, thanks! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Panthera solve this earlier (I suspect I’d have found it pretty tough left to my own devices)! Hard to pick favourites but: 10a, 18a, 23a, 28a, 9d, 20d, 22d and 24d.

I watched this back on Panthera's stream - lovely stuff, Sirdakka. I really enjoyed the theme, plus I'm a sucker for a lift & separate (lift & shift surely a better name...?). Long list of favourites: 1a, 10a, 23a, 25a, 1d, 2d, 8d, 9d.

Really enjoyed this but forgot to comment (sorry)! Faves were 1a 5a 10a! 9d and 3d among many others. As ever, just good amusing fun, with plenty of your usual creativity and humour. Cheers!
