Cryptic crossword No 1,645

Very enjoyable PM - a steady solve for me. My favourites were 15a, 21a, 2d, and 24d.

Very nice PM. 21a was wonderful. My other faves were 23d 24d 5d 19a 6a and 10a. Felt mostly more accessible than your typical difficulty level. Cheers!

Thanks for a delightful puzzle PM, top stuff. The usual evocative and interesting surfaces with some absolutely cracking clues , particular favourites were 6a (neat), 10a (likewise), 19a (smooth), 21a (COTD, absolutely brilliant), 22a (clean and neat), 25a (fun), 29a (cheeky), 2d (very nice, a rare combination of devices done very well), 4d (neat), 23d (nice) and 24d (very neat) - bravo!

Thanks PostMark, that was enjoyable. My top picks were 10a, 11a, 19a, 25a, 7d, 8d, 12d, and 24d. I was defeated by 15a and could not parse 6a or 21a. Spoiler in reply.

Thanks PM. Not quite on your wavelength this time for some reason, needing a couple of sessions and a few reveals. Lots to like though: I’m with the consensus re 21a as COTD. Also particularly liked 11a, 29a, 7d, 20d and 24d. Spoiler…

Fabulous, very enjoyable. A few held out for longer than I'd like but it all fell in the end! I'll join the praise for 21a and also liked 10a, 15a, 22a, 4d, 5d, 14d (despite NHO) and 24d. Spoiler ->

Thanks PM. Very impressive! As many have said, they don't come much better than 21a, though several others vied in vain for top spot. Like Coot (and as normal), I found some a little too tricky for me but enjoyed parsing. Not a criticism but an admission of incompetence, I hasten to add 😆
