Very nice puzzle, thanks Henri. Didn't spot the theme but enjoyed it in the annotations - a 11a of apes is fun 🙂. Favourites clues were 9a, 11a, 28a, 29a (solved this by working out the charade elements backwards, very satisfying), 6d (outrageous 😄) and 28d.

Such an impressive theme and some very smart clues here. 1a was harsh but fair, I liked 10a and 17a made me smile. 29a’s construction was clever, as was 4d. Spoilers (sort of) in reply.

Lovely stuff Henri, thanks for the entertainment! Needed your annos to spot the theme but enjoyed the education in the aftermath as there were several amusing ones in there I'd never heard of. Lots of lovely clues too, particular favourites being 1a (big smile when the PD'd), 10a(very neat), 11a (fun surface), 15a (neat), 22a (likewise), 1d (held me up for surprisingly long), 4d (very neat), 14d (lovely) and 16d (neat)

Great stuff Henri, thanks. I did half of this ages ago but have only just managed to get back to finish it. At the gentle end of your range but the normal mix of fun and imagination. Favourites: 10a, 11a, 20a, 6d, 12d and 15d.
