Cryptic crossword No 1,846

Good to see you back Flush. Lots to like here, although I found the NW quad a bit tougher than the rest. I particularly appreciated 10a, 12a, 26a, 2d, 16d, 29d among others. Smooth surfaces throughout, stretchy wordplay in places, but overall an enjoyable solve. A little more discussion in reply, spoilers…

I liked this and the theming is great (though most were unfamiliar to me!) I love the surface of 31A, and 4D is gigglesome too.
