Haha, this one caught my eye as I too recently experimented with the ‘fewer but longer’ idea! This was on the tougher side for me but I got there with a couple of reveals. Some really nice clues including 14a, 18a, 21a, 1d, 6d and 19d. Thanks!

Thanks Fudgeller, very enjoyable puzzle. Nice cluing of the 7 (!) long ones with different types of wordplay. Favourites were 13a, 17a, 18a, 6d and 15d.

Lots to like in here, thanks Fudgeller. That’s an impressive grid-fill too. Favourites: 12a (good revision), 14a (great find!), 17a, 18a, 1d, 16d and 18d (having seen your notes after failing to parse).
