A very nice job with a clear theme! Some great anagrams, and 17d is a particularly good clue. Clever misdirection in terms of the natural breaks in the surface reading in several places. I thought 6a and 21a were tricky due to some more obscure elements within the wordplay, but overall a good balance of clues.

Clever, with a wide range of devices. All pretty fair, though I couldn't parse 1D until the penny dropped when reading your helpful annotations. Not sure about EVIL, but otherwise, I enjoyed this. 19a was a favourite.

Good stuff, Coot - thanks. My favourites are 12a, 19a and 29a...

Good stuff, Coot. Lots of inventive thinking here, mostly smooth surfaces and sound wordplay - not much more anyone could ask for really! Loads of ticks… 1a, 11a, 15a, 29a, 7d, 23d among others. Only one quibble - not keen on the definition for 28a.

Very nicely done, particular favourites being 19a, 20a, 2d. 1d was too clever for me and I failed to get 21d, but the explanations make complete sense.
