Lovely stuff Henri, thanks - with the SI used to great effect for the benefit of the down surfaces. On the easier end of the spectrum for you, I thought. In fact, I felt as though the SI reduced the difficulty as it seemed fairly clear in most cases where the def was, even if I couldn't immediately spot the anagram. Hence, many of the downs were solved via wordplay and crossers, with the def becoming clear afterwards. Favourites: 10a, 12a, 28a, 1d, 3d, 14d, 19d and 24d.

Thanks Henri, that was great. I began immediately looking for the anagrams in the down clues and I think this made the crossword easier on the whole. Lots of good clues as always including 12a, 22a, 4d, 8d, 19d, and 23d. More to follow.

Very well constructed Henri. I was somewhat intimidated by the SI but, I think, on the whole you were quite kind to us with your anagrams. It took me most of the top row to get onto the wavelength but, thereafter, clues solved largely in order, whether across or down, so I think I adapted to it. Plenty of likeable clues inc 10a, 11a, 19a, 22a, 4d, 7d, 13d, 14d and 19d. Thanks. PM

That was fab, Henri. SIs tend to send a shiver down my spine so I nearly gave this a miss. Very glad I didn't as the device proved very helpful and great fun to boot!executed with all your usual style and elegance. Super stuff! Favourites: 6a, 10a12a19a, 28a4d14d19d and 24d.
