Thanks Baldur - lots of really good stuff in here. Very tricky mind you. A few defeated me (12a, 16a, 29a and 17d in particular), and a couple of others remain unparsed. Please could you enable annotations - I’ll hold back from any quibbling until I’ve understood your intentions! Favourites: 9a, 20a, 24a, 2d, 7d and 19d.

A really good crossword that beat me. For some reason Spoonerisms are my Achilles heal. My favourite surfaces were 29a, 4d, 7d, 22d and 29a. Thanks.

Thanks Baldur. My ticks --- 1a, 12a (easy to relate!), 13a, 26a, 29a, 4d, 11d, and 22d outnumbered my reveals --- 5a, 16a, 28a, 3d, and 17d so on balance this was a good experience for me. More to follow.

Hi Baldur, and all. This is my very first post as I have just come across the website for the first time, so hello ! I have just finished the crossword after putting it down and coming back to it numerous times over the past few weeks. Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge ! I actually came across it in Byline Times magazine which does not carry your Baldur name, so 7d stumped me. I could only parse I from Icelandic (Baldur ?) Something to consider if you have xwords published elsewhere 🙂👍🏻
