Very cool puzzle :) Favourites: 5a, 10a, 13a - tricky and alluded me until I had all the checking letters but lovely clue, 3d, and 14d gets top spot for me.
Lots of brilliant stuff in here Gillafox but it beat me all ends up! I mostly just read your notes and admired the ingenuity. One quibble (twice): the use of ‘of’ as a link from WP to definition. It only really works as a link the other way round.
A lot of superb clues, unfortunately beaten by 17d! My favourites were 9a, 24a, 3d, 8d and 14d. I biffed in 2d, although I still can't see why. Great fun, thanks.
