Hi Lohengrin, thanks for the puzzle, which I enjoyed. I needed help in places - that’s not a complaint, just a bit too challenging for my skill as a solver. There are some particularly brilliant clues in this, as I would expect. I really enjoyed the wordplay in 12a for example; 1a is a great clue. My other favourites were 16d, 15a and appreciated some of the more accessible clues 1d 13d 23d 5d and the two long crossers.

Thanks Lohengrin, some great stuff here - faves being 1a, 15a, 26a, 6d, 9d, 16d & 23d. Like Coot, I found it pretty tricky in parts and was pleased to complete without "cheating" ...

Wonderful crossword, very tricky in places. FOI 1d, LOI 7d. A lot of great surfaces, but my favourites were 12a, 24a, 25a and 26a, thanks.

Good puzzle, Lohengrin, though 19a and 8a defeated me for the reasons given by others. Some very succinct clues and some original constructions. Fez, in particular, has picked up on some of my queries. 12a, 26a, 9d and 16d my podium. Thanks. PM
