Splendid job, Longyfan. As always, some really creative indicators, some clever spots and so delightfully left-field definitions. Faves list could be much longer but, keeping it sensible: 3a (for the def), 11a, 12a, 14a, 15a, 23a, 27a, 5d (COTD - another splendid def), 6d, 7d, 15d (also COTD), 18d and 26d for the chutzpah. Admirably creative indeed Longyfan, thanks for the puzzle. A little on the tricky side for me to finish without a fair bit of help, but I thoroughly enjoyed parsing everything and enjoyed your inventive defs and indicators. Faves included 3a (far too complex for me to solve but delightful construction and def), 11a (very neat), 17a (smoothly done), 25a (nice image), 27a (clean), 2d (cute), 5d (cracking def and construction), 6d (nice), 15d (likewise, though PM's comment...)

Really enjoyed this, thanks Longyfan. Some very intricate constructions and amusing surfaces. I managed most of it reasonably swiftly but needed 2 or 3 reveals in the end. Favourites: 3a, 11a, 13a, 15a, 25a, 5d, 6d, 8d and 18d.
