Cryptic crossword No 2,408

Great fun as usual with some left field definitions that had me stumped for a bit. The usual hidden extra was a help in the second half. Faves include 10a, 26a, 1d, 3d, 15d, 17d. Thanks Gennaro!

Bit tougher than your usual Gennaro, but I got there in the end. As always, the signature device helped once it fell into place. COTD was 9d, when it eventually dawned on me even though the Morrison reference was clear in my head (showing my age now...) I also appreciated 10a (nice misdirection), 12a, 25a, 4d, 20d & 21d. Thanks for the workout!

I was slow to make the connection between nina and SI clues on this occasion, Gennaro. There are some nice surfaces in here and the cluing is solid as per. I particularly liked 11a, 12a, 23a, 4d (COTD) and 18d. Thanks. PM

Well I must have had a lucky wavelength day as I found this fairly breezy, with only 1d holding me up at the very end. The Gennina™ came relatively quickly and made me smile as I used the same subject matter for a clue recently. Liked 6a, 14a, 24a, 4d and 9d. Minor additional commentary in the Reply -> Thanks!

Sorry for the tardiness getting to this (and apologies to other setters in the queue too. Life is a hard taskmaster ATM) But as ever, very nice Gennaro. Your clueing is always satisfyingly tight and well-structured and the solve always fun. I really enjoyed 23a, 24a, 1d, 4d and 15d. Some very minor points follow ...
