Huge thanks are due to @Amoeba for test solving. There's a clue in here which Amoeba took to a new level. If it's your favourite, I'll be gutted :) All errors or transgressions are very much owned by me. Looking forward to all your comments.

Hi Ruskin having seen your first couple of puzzles get some traction, I'm glad that after solving this I can see why! Your clues are generally short and snappy, and the wordplay has some good variety - two factors certainly not easy to balance when starting out. My favourites were 6A 28A, 3D, 5D, and 24D. Some further spoiler-ish comments follow...

Thanks Ruskin, good stuff. Faves include 6a28a, 15a 4d, 5d & 14d. (Also enjoyed your earlier puzzles, thanks!) As your bio suggests you'd welcome comments, spoilers ...

Thanks Ruskin, I think this is the first of yours I've been able to complete, for whatever reason. Faves include 11a, 17a, 22a, 25a (clever!), 26a. Observation in reply

Thanks Ruskin, I enjoyed this a lot. A pretty quick solve until I came unstuck in the SW corner and with 13a. Favourites (interested to see if Amoeba’s contribution features!): 6a 28a, 25a, 4d and 23d. Spoilers …

Just joined the community and this was a very good puzzle to start on. Some really clever clueing there, Ruskin, particularly a fan of 25a. I'll be honest though, I still don't really understand how 5d works even after reading the explanation. Where am I supposed to be getting the "out" part from? I'd appreciate clarification if anyone would be kind enough to provide it. Thanks again, Ruskin!

Thanks Ruskin. I found this a blend of gentle & difficult, necessitating reveals for 13a, 19a, & 26a. I agree with the points made by Fez -- I received similar feedback in the past which was very useful. Anyhow, I had many likes including the Oasis clue, 10a, 25a (neat), 29a, 2d, & 4d.

Another great puzzle, thanks Ruskin. Tight clueing and nice surfaces. I too struggled with 13A and had to resort to the check funtion to rule out various letters. More in reply.

Late to the party in afraid. I enjoyed this one, and also the previous one. Unlike some others I thought 13a was a great, innovative clue, but maybe I just feel smug at having solved it 😀.
