Thanks Guinevere! I enjoy this themed puzzle. My favorites include 25a, 27a (for the definition), 2d, 22d, and 25d. 1d is also good, although I must confess that I've taken quite a few looks at it before understanding the construction (NOT a bad thing).

Thanks Guinevere, a good challenge, tough in places but fair, and a well worked theme. Favourites 14a, 1d, 22d (took a while to parse) and (like Feline) the clever definition in 27a.

Good fun, thanks Guinevere. The theme largely sailed over my head although it didn’t impede solving too much. I had a a couple of local difficulties in the left hand side of the grid. Fez has noted any points that I might have raised. Favourites: 10a, 26a, 4d (COTD), 17d and 21d. Spoiler …

Figured the theme was musical but it passed me by. Fave was 22d and I also liked 19d, 23a (clever indicator), 13a and 27a. Thanks!

Thanks for this gentle puzzle. Only held up by trying to parse the middle section of the clue for 13a and the alternative spelling of 25d which I needed to check. 17d, 10a and 14a are the podium for me. Theme unknown to me. Thanks. PM
