Nice idea, well executed. I did most of the downs first, thinking that might help. It didn't much. One across clue went in by accident - I forgot I wasn't supposed to be doing them - but that didn't help much either. When I did turn to the Acrosses though, the penny dropped quite quickly which helped with the finishing up. 6d, 16d, 20d, 22d and 23d my faves amongst the 'normal' clues. Thanks. PM

Thanks Henri that was great. After a very slow start things picked up considerably when I got one of the two themes. My top picks were 11a, 17a, 18a, 6d, 16d, and 22d for its definition.

Thanks Henri, that was quite the workout! I gradually made progress until I had the bottom 2/3 in the grid but needed a few reveals in the top 1/3. Very nicely worked theme, which I only fully understood when I read your notes. Favourites: 1d, 13d, 16d, 19d and 20d.

I am defeated utterly. I stumbled on 2 acrosses and kind of guessed one of the themes, but alas, could go no further. Still so much to learn! Thanks Henri for always pushing the limits!
