Cryptic crossword No 2,481

Enjoyable puzzle, Baldur. An interesting idea, well executed. Some very nice clues sprinkled through it such as 9a, 11a, 21A (COTD), 3d, 16d and 22d. 13d is the first time I have ever seen that clue in the wild. Thanks. PM

Marvellous! I twigged the Thing before the end and it helped me with another clue which was nice 😁 although I did in fact miss one of them (more in the reply). Technically a DNF for me as I just couldn't bring 4d to mind despite the crossers. I liked 11a, 21a, 2d and 16d. Spoilers overleaf -> thanks!

Thanks Baldur for an enjoyable crossword even though I never figured out what ECHOES meant. My top picks were 6a, 12a, 21a, 5d, and 16d. I appreciate the fact that you clued the 'odd' words clearly.
