I mainly solve Guardian puzzles and this reminded me a lot of Fed's style - lots of longish clues and complicated charades. A deliberate homage I assume? I thought this was excellent with some lovely surfaces and a pretty pervasive theme, although I'm still a newish solver and it was definitely at the difficult end for me. 11a, 32a, 24d my favourites.

Thanks Fez. Despite total theme blindness there was much for me to enjoy including 12a, 15a, 19a, 21a, 15d, 24d, and 28d. I failed with 6a, nho of 5d, & couldn't fully parse 25a. Overall, this was a fun outing for me.

Great stuff Fez, thanks. Totally missed the theme as per - despite knowing a fair amount about it - but that didn't detract from the fun. Found it pretty tricky with lots of intricate Fezzy wordplay. I started slowly, filled the middle half in quickly, and then struggled at the end, ultimately revealing 10a. NHO 6a, 27a, 22d or the erotic writer in 3d but all were gettable anyway. Favourites: 13a (COTD), 30a, 5d, 9d 22a, 17d, 24d and 28d.

Reliably excellent Fez, and I spotted the theme about halfway through (even if my original guess from your SI was way off 😆) … Liked 19a, 30a, 32a, 2d (the def), 5d (surface), 9d 29a (surface) and 17d (the ‘doctor’). Bravo 👏

Thanks, Fez, for an accessibly challenging puzzle with many great clues. With the help of kind definitions, I got to the end with only one reveal (11a) and a few guesses (e.g., 6a, the stretchy imo 17d). Thanks for taking the time to write thorough annotations. Favs include: 15a, 18a (nicely executed), 19a, 31a (impressive to pair that clue with that word), 1d, 3d (nice technique), 26d (funny and not difficult!), and the killer surface of 9, 29a. Thanks again.

Remarkable density of theming, as per, Fez. And full of typically Fezzy allusions and complexity. I was forced into a couple of reveals in the far NW right at the end but, other than that, everything solved and parsed though I was not within a million miles of spotting the theme. 1a, 13a, 25a, 10a, 3d, 5d, 16d, 24d my faves. Thanks. PM

Sorry to be late to this, Fez. It is excellent, albeit tricky and needing a few letter reveals to move thing on. But persistence paid off and the parsing was very satisfying. 6a, 13a, 32a, 5d, 26d, 28d stood out for me. My only niggle was I didn't think 11a *quite* worked for me. Thanks.
