Gosh, I struggled with this one! I even got the Nina pretty early and still took ages. 18a among my faves, which also included 15a,24a (what a surface!), and 3d,12d and the much loved 16d . Thanks for the challenge!

Hi Gennaro, thanks for the puzzle. Solving this felt way above my pay grade (would have been impossible for me without references), but [Nina], as they say! My favourite clues were 10a, 11a, 23a, 24a, 2d, 3d, 4d, 14d, 16d. Bit of elaboration in the reply

Thanks for an entertaining puzzle, Gennaro. I’m only 2 weeks late to this one (!) although I did actually solve it a few days ago and have only just come back to comment. I found this pretty tricky - possibly your most difficult to date - despite working out the Nina and key clue relatively early on. Not familiar with 4d or 9a. Favourites: 11a, 15a, 2d, 7d and 20d.
