Thanks Gollum! I think this is really good and probably my favourite of your puzzles. That’s not just because of the way you constructed 10A and 15A, although that does have something to do with it! (And I’m touched to get a nod in the annotated solutions, thank you). But in general I felt that the clueing was more precise without having a detrimental effect on your usual level of inventiveness. Other favourites were 21A, 1D, 6D, 14D and 22D.

Very enjoyable, though completely defeated by 5d and 23d, the explanation of the latter providing a real "good grief" moment

Hi. Lovely puzzle - so polished throughout. I don't understand 23D though. What am I missing?

This was great fun. Thanks. Plenty of funny clues. I loved 6d (clever) and 3d (terribly good). Would never have parsed 23d but really enjoyed chuckling over what I had missed. Cheers

Ha ha! Enjoyed that.

Thanks, Gollum! Lots of smiles here - too many to list really, but particular favourites were 21A, 5D. Actual laugh out loud when I got 16/19 about halfway through. Found the SE much harder than the rest for some reason. Some spoilers in reply

Really enjoyed this, although a few parsings were beyond me, mostly if not entirely due to references. I got 16/19 (typo in the instructions!) about halfway through, which helped me a lot with the NW corner, my last section. I also appreciated the subsidiary anagrinds in 10a and 15a!

Thanks Gollum - there are some fun ideas here, such as those in 13a and 23d, though I needed your notes for the latter. My favourite clue is 22d. I also admire the components of 11a.
