Brilliant stuff Alf - right up to your usual high standard. I really like the way you wove the theme into the clues. Not sure how to pick favourites, but if pushed: 10A, 12A 1A, 14A, 29A, 31A, 17D, 18D and 23D

Very nice, thanks Alf. Thematic surfaces are really well done and there are some lovely ideas peppered through (c-hill, Super-G, backseat driver, two-man bob to name a few). Favourite clues were 10a, 11a, 19a, 21a, 29a, 2d, 3d, 6d and 18d.

Nice one, Alf, lots of fun as usual, and a nicely handled theme. 12a 1a, 14a and 25d were my top favourites.

Alf - I've owed you a comment for a few days, having completed this early in the week. I'll do the usual two-part comment with more explicit comment in the Reply. Loved what you did here and enjoyed just about every single clue. I know, as a novice setter, how nice it is to see that list of clues in blue that people have nominated, and I'd love to reward you with same - but I can't because I'd run out of space! Quite simply, I can't pick a favourite! Which is meant to be praise!!!

Beautifully themed and beautifully clued, my favourites being 10a, 13a, 31a, 2d, 3d, 9d, 18d, 25d. Very minor quibbles/spoilers in reply

I'm probably missing something, but I can't see a definition in 12a, 1a. I think 30a is a bit weak, certainly by the standards of the rest of it. And I agree that Witt in 20d is padding, but i also agree with Coot that it's so nicely clued that that doesn't really matter.
