Cryptic crossword No 437

Nice one, Amoeba. 11a, 15a, 22a, 31a, 4d, 7d (groan), 16d were my picks. 1d deceived me and is v good. A query but not a complaint (with spoiler) in reply.

Really enjoyed this Amoeba, thanks. Lots of fun surfaces and clever wordplay. I found the theme helped me unlock a couple of clues. Struggled with 5D in the same way as PostMark. Favourites were 13A, 22A, 3D (sneaky!), 6D, 14D and 19D.

Thanks for the puzzle Amoeba, lovely exploitation of the theme which gave enough of a foothold in places, making this a really fun solve. Plenty of wonderful surfaces and examples of ingenuous wordplay, with 11a, 30a (wonderfully misleading!), 3d (very clever), 7d (likewise), 14d, 21d (excellent surface) and 28d (for stumping me at the end) making my not-so-short list!

Thanks Amoeba. I particularly enjoyed 13a, 31a, 1d, 7d, 14d. I forgot about the theme between solving sessions, which could have helped with a couple of tough nuts toward the end. Some clues I found more of a struggle - spoilers in reply.
