I read the Guardian Comment on Saturday and it inspired this puzzle. Whether you’d prefer to be informed before the solve or afterwards, I leave to you but the link to the article is in the Reply. Spoilers in Reply

Cheers for the entertainment PM - that was a hoot! Packed with humour, wit and cunning, making it hard to pick a shortlist, so here's a long one: 11a, 12a, 13a (lovely Spooner), 15a, 17a, 18a (6 in a row!), 22a, 25a, 3d, 4d, 6d, 7d, 14d (hah), 16d (hilarious), 21d (wonderful) and 24d (another hilarious clue). An impressive implementation of the theme, I think you rather nailed it - bravo!

You're a vile pornographer of news PM! Well done! Speed of compile and level of theme content most impressive.

Lovely job PM. Most enjoyable. Favourites: 19d (great surface), 22d, 16d (topical!) and 30a. The theme is excellent. A couple of random words and phrases (eg 11a) which presumably help get so many answers into the theme. Don't mind that though!

This is excellent fun. Recommended! lots of nice surfaces and clues which raised a smile. Favourites amongst many were 1a 1d 4d 12a 13a 16d 30a 25/31. And given I didn’t know 21d it’s very fairly clued. Now looking forward to reading the article to make more sense of some of this! Thanks for a fun puzzle

Great stuff, PM! Some super clues in here and lots of fun. 15A caught me out as new to me. Favourites from a long list of candidates: 11A, 12A, 25A 31A, 16D, 19D and 24D.

Nicely done PostMark! Very impressive turnaround time and you've packed in a lot of theme. Some great clues as well, I'll pick out favourites 10a, 30a, 3d, 4d, 13d, 14d (the best I've ever seen that phrase clued ;)) and 24d.

Nice crossword, PostMark. I had been hiding under a rock trying to avoid the news story that you were referencing, but there was enough there for me to get most of the solutions.

Hi PM, I've only just got round to solving this one, but glad I did. I've not been following the story but I'm sufficiently aware of it to have quickly picked up on the theme. (Only slight issue is that I was bamboozled by 12a because of "SMS", which seems superfluous, but I guess it's theme-related? No, actually, don't bother answering that, I don't need to know.) Lots of fun clues - particular favourites were 11a, 15a (a new word for me but very fairly clued), 30a, 4d, 19d

Quite a challenge this - thanks PostMark, was fun to do. But sorry, the theme means little to me though I recognised it once 24d went in. As far as news stories go, I'm afraid the more serious stuff gets most of my attention: I'm lost when it comes to celeb peccadillos (if that's what it's about). Hope that doesn't sound too condescending! Several names I didn't know - but some clever wordplay. Spoiler below.
