What a lot of fun. For which, many thanks Chopin. A nice variety of clues, some ingenious devices and really coherent surfaces and yet it was penetrable. Or I was on your wavelength. The two long ones are both really well done and I'd also tick: 8a, 19a, 28a, 30a (lovely), 32a, 2d, 3d, 7d (favourite), 18d, 28d (very good). Spoilers in reply.

Lovely stuff - thanks! Some excellent trademark Chopin charades in here, as well as your usual sense of fun and invention. I particularly enjoyed 8A, 10A, 21A, 30A, 2D, 7D 23D (although wonder if strictly a QM is required) and 16D.

This is an excellent puzzle. Lots of nice, fun clues and solvable in a very good way. Liked most clues but picking favourites, I’d choose 2d 30a and 20d. Spoilers in reply

Thanks for the Chopin, that was great fun and a very clever set. Tons of wonderful clues: 1a starts strongly, 12a, 19a, 21a, 22a, 25a, 30a, 31a, 4d, 6d, 9d, 13d, 16, 20d, 26d and 28d were also very satisfying solves. Was very intrigued by the grid and thought this a good level of difficulty, nice one!

Loved it - stunning theme, which I only noticed on reading the solution!

Nice one, Chopin, very enjoyable as others have said. The grid does look odd, but I didn’t mind that so much once I twigged the reason for it. Lots of fun clues here - favourites were 7d 23d, 31a, 32a, 6d,

Thank you for one of the cleverest crosswords I've seen for ages. Particular favourites 8a, 14a, 2d, 4d, 13d (which was nearly the last one I got, and was accompanied by a delightful lightbulb moment as I appreciated the reason for the unusual (and, of course, as PostMark observes, not terribly user-friendly) grid.
