Thanks Jaspa, super puzzle retaining brevity for the most part (13a the obvious exception - and very nice too) . I think in places rather tougher than some of your earlier ones, but really fabulous throughout. Particularly liked definition in 16d, misdirection in 12a, 21a wordplay, and GK in 8a. Thanks again!

Really nice puzzle, Jaspa - thanks! Quite tricky for me, with a few reveals required, but lots of great, succinct clueing to enjoy. Particularly enjoyed 7A, 16A, 21A, 3D, 6D, 12D, 19D and 20D

Particular favourites were 7a (neat and satisfyingly misleading), 8d (fun and a learning experience), 10a (hah, lovely), 13a (great def), 16a (very clean), 17a (neat), 18a (satisfying), 20a (clean), 21a (lovely construction), 1d (satisfying), 4d (nice construction), 16d (well done) and 20d (neat), bon

I was held up a bit at the end by 25a (divination method was a head-scratcher for a while), 10a (searching for the synonym) and 4d (lovely pdm on LOI). All in all, a very satisfactory solve. I'd agree it's a tad tougher, perhaps. But only a tad. Favourites include: 8a (nice reference), 10a (another pdm), 15a (rarely used synonym), 24a (I liked the surface) Spoiler in reply. Cont...
