Cryptic crossword No 902

It is still some time until I’ll have a brand new offering for MyCrossword so I thought I would give this Rookie Corner submission from June another airing.

Got halfway through before it all came back to me and the rest finished themselves, a nice relaxing solve, thanks Coot! Nicely nostalgic as I originally solved this on holiday in Thailand and it was amusing how the context of that solve made itself felt while sitting in a car park in Kent! This time through I particularly liked 1a, 10a, 19a, 22a, 28a, 4d, 6d, 16d and 21d 😁

Nice puzzle Coot with some excellent misdirection. My favourites were 21d lol 9a 10a 4d and 27a

Great stuff, and not overly tough, just a really nice level of difficulty throughout. I particularly liked the two long downs and also 21d, 2d, 26a and 9a. Minor query in spoiler.

Like Sirdakka, got part way in and started to recall the solve in June. I could name almost any clue as worthy of praise - to pick a sample: 1a, 4a, 14a, 23a, 1d, 5d and 8d. Thanks. PM
