Featured crossword No 8

Thanks for a good, chewy crossword. Loved 13a, 14a, 7d especially.

Nice to see you with a featured puzzle, Temple. And a good one too. I have commented in the Other place. I particularly liked 16d with LOI 17d and 21a making my podium. I was not able to parse NITRATE which is a very neat spot. Some very nice succinct clues and not too many link words which is nice. Thanks. PM

Chuffed to have got a handful of these, particularly 21a which seems to have had a few experts stumped. On the other hand I was completely stumped by a few which should have been gimmes, lol. Really liked 19d, 22d and 25a

Thanks for a tough yet fun and fair crossword. I'm especially fond of 2d, 17d, 20d, and 10a. 5d is neat but was out of my league; 26a also defeated me. Today was my second go at the puzzle (I forgot to comment after solving earlier in the week) - both rounds were fun. Thanks again, Temple.
