Cryptic crossword No 2,058

Nice one Coot! I found this quite tough though, but persistence largely paid off. Just a few of reveals needed to confirm the parsings of solutions suggested by the crossers. Faves are 9a, 15a, 19a, 21a, 2d, 25d (fab, COTD). I'm sure you'll have been missed at the S&B weekend! Spoilers...

Very good, thank you. Was drawn to this by the image of the church at Seyðisfjörður. Lots to like, including 1a, 15a, 19a, 2d, 8d, 16d, 18d / 22d, 25d. All fell into place at second sitting, except 10a and 24d (both of which I guessed but failed to parse). Thanks again.

Thanks Coot for the challenge. I found this on the more difficult end of your spectrum and after a couple of days of on-and-off solving I revealed 5a, 17a, 3d, 7d and 13d. That doesn't mean I didn't find enjoyment --- I very much liked many of the clues including 10a, 20a, 26a, 1d, 8d, and 27d. Maybe I'll meet you next time!

I enjoyed this at S&B, Coot - 16d was my favourite, but 25d, 19a, 12a, and 12d were among the many I enjoyed. 28d was & would have remained unparsed, until someone enlightened me!

I’m catching up after a largely crossword-free week away and am glad I started with this one! Marvellous as ever, slightly chewier than usual in places but it all checked out in the end! Loved 25d (my LOI), 9a, 10a, 4d and 14d. Cheers! Tiny comment in reply 😁
