Good stuff as per, Coot. The odd eyebrow when filling in the grid but all seemed to check out when I looked at the dictionary. 5a, 15a, 22a, 28a, 3d (COTD), 5d, 7d, 20d and 21d my faves. Thanks. PM

Hey Coot, watched this on the stream… and the jokes landed with me 🤣Thank you. Merry Christmas to you!

Well that was straightforward, until it wasn't 😆 a handful at the end were rather tough for me and I had to resort to a few little reveals... but some fabulous cluing as ever, with particular mention to 10a (simple yet clever), 3d, 7d, 16d (back-parsed but it made me properly laugh) and 21d. A few additional comments in the reply -> Thanks!

Thanks Coot. I found this on the difficult end of your spectrum and I failed with 8d (nho), 13d (nho), and 16d (I heard of that but couldn't crack the wordplay.) I did find much to enjoy including 5a, 10a, 15a, 1d, 3d (COTD), and 6d. Happy Holidays 🎄

Great crossword. I only managed to complete it with the aid of various online searches. No one else has commented that it's a pangram, so maybe it's a trademark of yours? Like others, my favourite was 3d. Thanks.

Thanks Coot. Like Henri, my first pass was fruitful and fun, but then I ground to a bit of halt and needed quite a bit of help to get over the line. As ever with you, plenty to like (faves being 10a, 22a, 23a (but see ff), 3d, 20d, 21d lol, 25d) but there were some more than usually sticky moments (spoilers...)
